Course Introduction
We provide Chinese courses (Cantonese; Traditional Chinese characters) for all age groups (children/adolescents/adults).
The courses are conducted in one-on-one or small group settings (2-4 people).
Teaching emphasizes both fun and systematic approaches, starting from songs, games, and situational applications, while systematically constructing Chinese knowledge and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The courses emphasize 'individualized instruction', tailoring the curriculum according to students' proficiency levels and family language backgrounds.
The platform offers two types of courses: Chinese as a Second Language/Foreign Language Course and Chinese as a Mother Tongue Course.
Choose one suits you most
Chinese as a Second Language/Foreign Language Course
Suitable for students for whom Chinese is a second language, meaning their families primarily communicate in another language (such as English/French) and only occasionally use Cantonese.
- 1The curriculum is driven by games and situational activities, aiming to cultivate students' interest in Cantonese within a short period.
- 2It progresses from listening and speaking to reading and writing, gradually building students' interest and proficiency in Chinese.
- 3The course emphasizes both fun and effectiveness; for example, four-year-old and eight-year-old students have been able to recognize a large number of characters, formulate sentences orally, and complete assigned tasks in Cantonese in various situations within two months, such as helping parents order food, buy groceries, and entertain guests through singing.
Chinese as a Mother Tongue Course
Designed for students for whom Chinese is their mother tongue, meaning their families primarily communicate in Chinese (Cantonese), especially parents who primarily use Chinese (Cantonese) to impart knowledge and commonly use it at home. These students already have a certain foundation in Chinese, such as fluent Cantonese communication, recognition, or even basic writing of common words. Parents can cooperate with the course after class to encourage students to review and apply what they have learned.
- 1The course follows the 'Chinese Language Learning Progression Framework ' to continuously cultivate students' interest, proficiency, and language thinking ability in Chinese.
- 2It starts by reinforcing students' Chinese knowledge, such as character recognition, and then develops their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
- 3The course emphasizes both fun and effectiveness; for example, a second-grade student completed four creative writing pieces under guidance within two months of classes and expressed a liking for writing.
